Tyler is a growing city in northeast Texas. A city on the rise, it has had a recent population boost. Tyler was a city of 83,650 in 2000; it is now a city of well over 100,000. Factory work is prevalent, with companies such as Trane, Tyler Pipe, Carrier, or Brookshire Grocery all employing a significant work force. Tyler is mostly known for its roses. It is the home of twenty percent of the global rose sales. Surprisingly, the city also seems to be an excellent place to retire as well as work. It was rated highly as a place for retirees.
Tyler has an increase in population that has resulted in a lot of real estate growth. It has many new developments, from single home properties to large and ambitious developments.
